Anthony is a second-year MBA candidate who previously served in the US Army’s Special Forces, where he worked with partner forces on counterterrorism operations across Africa. He holds a B.A. in Arabic from the Virginia Military Institute. Post-graduation, Anthony will be pursuing a career in the defense technology industry in Washington, DC.

Nathan Olaniyi

Nathan is a second-year MBA candidate pursuing a concentration in Corporate Finance. Prior to Kenan-Flagler Business School, Nathan worked across investment banking, capital markets, and operating finance roles in Nigeria, including as an Analyst in Debt Capital Markets at Chapel Hill Denham and in finance and strategy roles within fintech and insurance companies. He began his career at Deloitte as an Audit & Advisory Associate and is a Chartered Accountant. Nathan holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and is recruiting for roles in corporate finance, strategy, and capital-intensive businesses post-graduation.

This previous summer, he was a summer analyst at Piper Sandler in their Services & Industrials Group in Charlotte, where he will be returning upon graduation. Prior to that, he worked for Bonaccord Capital Partners in New York City, and Five Points Capital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. On campus, Shuford serves as a senior Mentor at the North Carolina Study Center, and served as President of Phi Gamma Delta. In his free time, Shuford enjoys hunting, fishing, farming, and golf.

Outside of the Kenan-Flagler Private Equity Fund, Nicole is the president of the Reynolds Investment Fund, Technology Sector Head for the UNC Portfolio Management Team, Sector Head for the UNC Special Situations Group, and Head of Private Equity for the Undergraduate Finance Society. In her free time, Nicole enjoys playing tennis and is an avid New York Knicks fan.

Last summer, he interned as a private equity summer analyst at BDI Partners in Raleigh, NC. Outside of the Fund, Stewart serves as President of Order of the Bell Tower, the official student ambassadors and tradition keepers to the University. At UNC, Will is a Sector Head in the Reynolds Investment Fund, the University’s premier investment organization, where he leads the Energy and FIG sectors. He also serves as a Sector Head in the UNC Special Situations Group, focusing on distressed and complex capital structure investments. In addition, Will is the Treasurer and a four-year starter for the UNC Club Soccer team. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to jam bands, and watching Charlotte sports.

At UNC, Lucas is a part of the Reynolds Investment Fund, where he serves as the Vice President and the Sector Head for both Media & Telecommunications and Real Estate. Lucas also plays as the goaltender for the UNC Men’s Ice Hockey team. In his free time, Lucas enjoys watching the Tar Heels, attending concerts, watching Chelsea FC, and hiking.
